2014 NZ Maori Golf National Tournament

Host Region: Western Bay of Plenty Golf Association
Entering Online
Please read the following points before completing your online entry. Two New Divisions
To increase participation at our National Tournament we are introducing two new divisions. The new divisions may be subject to numbers, see Tournament Conditions.1. Un-registered Golfers
This division aims to encourage those who have found it uneconomical to join a club over the years. The Unregistered division is designed to bring back those golfers who still play golf but on a casual basis. This division is part of our 10 year plan and New Membership kaupapa for Un-registered players.
2. Under 19's Rangatahi Championship
This division is normally held in April. This coming year, we are holding the 2014 Under 19’s Rangatahi Championship with our National Tournament. This is to give our younger competitors a chance to play against their own age groups and to feel part of the National Tournament.
** Due to the new Under 19's Rangatahi Championship division being incorporated into the National Tournament, there is a possibility this Fee may be subsidised for 2014 entrants. Once this is confirmed, a refund will be given back at Tournament Registration.
Annual General Meeting
The National AGM will be held as usual straight after the Powhiri. We encourage you to attend as this is your chance to hear and make suggestions about the future of Maori golf.Calcutta
The Calcutta will be held on Senior Men’s 2nd division. It will be held at Omanu Golf Club on Tuesday night, 7 January 2014. There will be finger food for calcutta ticket holders only. Our sponsors have also been invited to place their bids.Sponsors Day
To thank our tournament sponsors a special invitation only Sponsors Day will be held at Omanu Golf Club on Friday 10 January 2014. Tee off will be by shot gun start and a light lunch will follow. We also look forward to meeting the sponsors later that evening at the main awards night.Awards Evening
This year our Awards Evening will be held at the spectacular Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre on Friday 10 January 2014. It was such a success last year and there was great feedback about our dress. It has been agreed that this year's event will again be a formal black tie event.Entry is by ticket only, a ticket is included for fully registered players in the tournament price. You must indicate your attendance when registering on Sunday 5 January 2014.
If you have whanau wishing to attend the awards night they must purchase a ticket at $50 each. Again they must indicate that they're attending on registration day. Your whanau member will also become an honorary member of NZ Maori Golf for the year.
Visit the membership page to pre-register whanau as honorary members prior to the tournament.
